Earlier this month, the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) launched a call for applications to fill 16 Junior Professional Officer (JPO) positions across a range of International Organisations and duty stations; including a position with the CAFI Presidency in Brazzaville. Applicants have 4 weeks to finalise their submissions – closing on 22 February 2018!
The successful applicant will report to the UN Resident Coordinator and Representative Resident of UNDP (Republic of Congo) as well as the Head of the CAFI Secretariat, based in Geneva.
The objective: to support the governance structure of the CAFI Initiative, namely its Board of Directors, through the Presidency and the Secretariat, and to develop and monitor the Initiative's portfolio in the Republic of Congo and other CAFI partner countries (five other Central African countries).
The UNDP JPO Programme equips young leaders with the skills and experience required to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and make a positive difference in the world. A pathway into the world of development, the programme offers young professionals excellent exposure to multilateral cooperation and sustainable development while providing a valuable entry point into the UN system.

Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension for another year
