The DRC National REDD+ Fund (FONAREDD) has just launched a 9th call for proposals (AMI 09) for the Sud Ubangui Province.
This call for proposals (#09) complements the first call for proposals for integrated programmes, launched on 2 June (see details below), for which three idea notes were received. The Technical Commitee of the FONAREDD, during its 29 August meeting, did not allow for any of the agencies submitting proposals for the old province of Equator to move onto the next step. The Technical Committee thus decided to re-launch the call for proposals, considering that for all submissions, a strong signal should be sent to remind of the need to better respect the terms of reference, in particular with regard to ensuring that land-use planning is a central tool for programming, that strengthening the capacity of local territorial actors is emphasized, and that the milestones of the Letter of Intent are a main component of the results framework.
On this basis, the interim Executive Secretariat of the FONAREDD considered that some of the proposals already submitted for the Sud Ubangi Province would not need major restructuring. In order to keep with the current pace of programming, the Secretariat thus decided to republish the call for proposals and to allow for 15 days to receive submissions as project documents.
The huit calls for proposals launched last June, for which 17 proposals had been received from six agencies, are listed below:
